Anany Dwivedi ist seit Juni 2021 wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Lehrstuhl für Autonome Systeme und Mechatronik am Department Elektrotechnik-Elektronik-Informationstechnik der FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg.

Anany Dwivedi erlangte seinen Bachelor in Electronics and Communication Engineering am LNM Institute of Information Technology, Jaipur, Indien, im Jahr 2015, gefolgt von einem Master im Jahr 2017 in Robotics Engineering am Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), Worcester, MA, USA. Für seine Promotion schloss er sich der New Dexterity Research Group an der University of Auckland, Neuseeland, an. Hier konzentrierte sich seine Arbeit auf die Entschlüsselung der myoelektrischen Aktivität der Muskeln des menschlichen Unterarms und der Hand, um geschickte Manipulationsbewegungen sowohl in realen als auch in virtuellen Umgebungen zu ermöglichen. Er arbeitete auch an der Entwicklung elektromyographiebasierter Rahmenwerke für die Teleoperation und Telemanipulation von Robotersystemen und untersuchte die Verwendung anderer Sensoren und gemeinsamer Steuerungsverfahren zur Verbesserung der Gesamtleistung der entwickelten Muskel-Maschine-Schnittstellen. Während seiner Zeit bei der New Dexterity Research Group gewann Anany den ersten Preis bei der 2020 Hackaday UCPLA Challenge on Assistive Device und sicherte sich außerdem den ersten Platz bei der IEEE IROS 2019 Robotic Grasping and Manipulation Challenge – Manufacturing Track.
