Niklas Bünte started his PhD at the Chair of Autonomous Systems and Mechatronics in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Information Technology at FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg in September 2025. His research focuses on bio-mechatronic control, and he is currently working on automation and control in the field of tissue engineering.
He received his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University, where he also pursued a Master’s degree in Automation Engineering. His master’s thesis was titled “Reinforcement Learning for Control of Networked Machines.”
