We will have a colloquium on Human-Centered Robotics with talks given by two guest speakers, Dr. Gionata Salvietti and Dr. Maria Pozzi from the University of Siena.<\/p>\n

The talks will be on Wednesday, Nov 23, 2022 from 16:00 to 17:30 in 02.037\u00a0Paul-Gordan-Str. 3\/5 (R\u00f6thelheim campus) 91052 Erlangen and also over zoom.<\/p>\n

Bio: Dr. Gionata Salvietti<\/p>\n

Gionata Salvietti received the M.S. in Robotics and Automation and the Ph.D. in Information Engineering from the University of Siena, Siena, Italy, in 2009 and 2012, respectively. He was a post-doc researcher with the IIT, Genoa, Italy from 2012 to 2015. He was Visiting Researcher with the DLR Institute for Robotic and Mechatronics, in 2012 and a Visiting Student with TAMS Group, University of Hamburg, in 2008. He is Assistant Professor at Department of Information Engineering and Mathematics, University of Siena. He is Associate Editor of IEEE TRO from 2022 and of IEEE TOH and IEEE RAL from 2020. He is coordinating the University of Siena unit in the Erasmus+ Project: Integrating virtual and AUGMENTED reality with WEARable technology into engineering EDUcation, and he is PI of the project \u201cAROSE Assistive Robotics for SafE interaction with the body\u201d financed by the University of Siena. His research interests are robotic and human grasping, wearable robotics, and haptics.<\/p>\n

Bio: Dr. Maria Pozzi<\/p>\n

Maria Pozzi is a Post-Doc Researcher at University of Siena (Italy) and Affiliated Researcher at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT), Genova. She received her B.S. (Computer and Information Engineering, 2013), M.S. (Computer and Automation Engineering, 2015), and Ph.D. (Information Engineering and Science, 2019), all cum laude from the University of Siena. She is now conducting her research activities within the national project \u201cTIGHT: Tactile InteGration for Humans and arTificial systems\u201d. In 2018, she won the RAS Haptics Grant by the IEEE RAS TC on Haptics. In 2021, she co-edited the IEEE RAM SI on \u201cEmerging Paradigms for Robotic Manipulation: from the Lab to the Productive World\u201d, she was selected as one of the RSS Pioneers, and she was invited speaker at the IFRR Global Robotics Colloquium on The Future of Robotic Manipulation. Her research interests include: robotic grasping, simulation of soft robots and haptic interfaces for collaborative robotics.<\/p>\n
